Lava International and Intel have partnered to launch Xolo X900 Smartphone

Lava International and Intel have partnered to launch Xolo X900 Smartphone in India by the second quarter. Xolo X900 Smartphone has a 4.03 inch display, a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile chip and an 8 megapixel camera. Lava Xolo X900 will be the first Smartphone with Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor to be launched in India. Featuring a 4.03 inch touch screen display, it will also feature near field communication capabilities along with micro-HDMI to output high quality videos.

Lava International will be the first Smartphone maker to bring an Intel Atom chipset (Medfield) housed Xolo X900 mobile in India. The Xolo X900 will have a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This processor packs an array of technologies developed by Intel to boost the mobile for faster performance with minimal possible compromise on battery life. An Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator supports all modern day 3D graphics and also supports high quality video playback.

Xolo X900 supports networks with Intel's XMM 6260 platform, and also features an NFC chip. With the micro HDMI port one can enjoy full HD video output. At the rear lies an 8 megapixel camera which ideally should be able to record 1080p HD video. This camera also features a burst mode which will allow users to capture ten pictures within a second at 8 megapixel quality. There's also a front facing camera for video call or video chat. This smartphone of course has Android, but from the images it appears that the device might have Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the anvil. The device is expected to arrive early in the second quarter of this year (probably between April and June) in India. Its price has not been revealed.
