Price in India: Spice Stellar Craze

The phone is currently based on Android 2.3 which Spice says will be upgraded to Android 4.0 shortly. The phone features dual-SIM connectivity, 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen display and 800 MHz processor. Spice Stellar Craze Mi355 comes with 512 MB RAM on-board along with a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a front VGA camera for video calling.

Spice Stellar Craze Mi355 comes with 3G as well as other connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB. It also features NetQin Antivirus software and Vault privacy app bundled. Other features include A-GPS, social networking apps, IM, music player, and 32GB expandable storage. The phone is available for Rs 6,599 from Saholic, an online retailer, which is also offering recharge coupon worth Rs 300. Spice is also planning to launch the five inch Spice Stellar Horizon which will be priced close to Rs 12,000. Spice Stellar Mi 425 is already available priced at Rs 9,700.

Price in India: Spice M-6688

Spice has silently made available a new full touch dual SIM phone with Wi-Fi at the asking price of Rs 3800. The phone called M-6688 features a 3.2 inch touch screen with a 400x240 pixel resolution. Being a touch screen phone a proximity sensor, which switches of the screen when you place the phone to your ear for call, is important and has been provided. The phone comes with a Comet user interface and iHome user interface, which is a proprietary user interface based on Java used by Spice. The Spice m6688 also comes with 3.2MP camera with video recording feature.

On the connectivity front the phone has many options including Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, GPRS and EDGE connectivity. The handset has a 1000mAh battery that promises 4 hours of talk time on a single charge. It has 43.8MB of internal storage capacity which can be furthered till 8GB via microSD card. Other features include FM radio with recording and a 312MHz processor.

Spice launches touch and QWERTY Android phone for Rs 6,500

Spice Mi-285 comes with a 2.8 inch touch display and physical QWERTY keypad in a bar shape. Spice has launched its first touch and QWERTY Android phone called Mi-285 in the market. Though official announcement is yet to happen the phone is available at online stores like Saholic for Rs 6,399.

The dual-SIM phone comes with 2.8 inch capacitive touch display. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The phone has 650MHz processor for smooth user experience. It supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. It comes with 3.2MP main camera and VGA front camera. Other features include GPS, A-GPS, analog TV, proximity sensor, push email, Gtalk, and 32 GB expandable memory.

 The Spice Mi 285 is a direct competition of LG Optimus Pro C660 and Motorola Fire XT 311 and is in fact coming very closely priced to these two phones which available for Rs 7,000. While LG offers an 800MHz processor and Motrola only a 600 MHz unit, only other difference between these two and the Spice offering is the fact that these two offer only single SIM option.
