Sony working on Xperia J with Android 4.0 ICS

Sony Mobile is preparing yet another mid-range Smartphone under its Xperia NXT series line and will brand it as Xperia J. The new Sony Xperia J ST26i Smartphone may come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on it. Carrying the same Xperia NXT physical design, the Xperia J will arrive with 4-inch touch screen display and house a 1 GHz mobile processor inside it. The Xperia J will support 480x854 pixel resolutions natively. Under the hood, it is expected to house a 1 GHz mobile processor and 512 MB RAM.

The Xperia J is expected to arrive with Android 4.0.4 ICS and anything lower than that would be a disappointment. The back is white colored and there is no more the green colored Sony Ericsson logo but only the Xperia text. There is a camera with LED flash at the back as well.

As of now there is no confirmation about launch dates of the Xperia J nor there is any hint on the pricing. We expect this Smartphone to launch in the third quarter of this year alongside the Xperia S successor, dubbed as Xperia SL.
