HTC One S is now available in India. However unlike the expected 1.7 GHz processor, online sites selling the phone are mentioning 1.5 GHz dual core processor. Online retailer Saholic.com is selling the phone for Rs 33,000 while Infibeam is selling it for Rs 36,157. The HTC One S has a 4.3 inch 720 pixel based Amoled display with 540x960 resolutions. It weighs just 119.5 grams.
The One S comes with Android 4.0 operating system with HTC Sense 4 user interface. It has 16 GB internal memory storage with 1 GB RAM. Like One X, it comes with 3.5 mm jack, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and a USB port for connectivity. There is an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash in One S. The rear camera is capable of capturing 1080 pixel based true HD videos. There is a front VGA camera too for video chats.
Similar to camera capabilities on One X camera in One S is capable of capturing multiple snapshots and can capture images in the midst of capturing videos as well. The rear camera is also able to capture high quality slow motion videos and its video stabilization feature removes shaky motions while you are capturing a video. The HTC One S comes with a 1650 MAh battery as opposed to the 1850 mAh battery of the One X which impressed us a lot.
