Motorola introduces Atrix HD with 720p HD display

Motorola has quietly announced a new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running Smartphone - Atrix HD. As the successor of the Atrix 2, the new Atrix HD features a 4.5-inch display with 720p HD native resolution. Housing a 1.2 GHz Dual-core mobile processor, this Smartphone flaunts the RAZR styling and is claimed to be splash resistant. The back panel is built using Kevlar plastics. The Motorola Atrix HD is destined to release in the US through AT&T but there are no details on its worldwide availability and pricing.

Motorola has been working on Atrix 2 successor since a while and the first Smartphone with 720p HD display was quiet expected from the company. The new Atrix HD features as 4.5-inch ColorBoost HD touch screen display built using Corning Gorilla Glass technology. By default this screen offers 1280x720 pixel resolution and thereby you can easily watch your 720p HD content and high quality images comfortably.

Under the hood, the Smartphone features dual-core 1.2 GHz mobile processor with 1 GB RAM and features 8 GB ROM. Thankfully it offers expandable storage to accommodate up to 32 GB memory card. The Atrix HD has an 8.4 mm thin body and touts to be splash resistance. This Smartphone too supports MicroSIM and supports 4G LTE networks.

At the rear lies an 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash and Auto focus that is capable of shooting 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second easily. In the front lies a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calling and chat. Other features of the Atrix HD include Accelerometer, Bluetooth 4.0, Proximity Sensor, micro HDMI out port and micro USB port.

Motorola has housed a 1780 mAh battery to make this powerhouse Smartphone run for long time along with the SMARTACTIONS app. This app automates the routine activities set and defined by the user. Motorola has not formally announced the details to make this Smartphone available in other countries as of now. However, we expect this Smartphone to be available in India by October or later.

Motorola launches Razr Maxx in India for Rs 31,590

Motorola Mobility has announced the availability of its new Razr Maxx Smartphone in India. According to the company, the phone offers longest battery backup amongst all the Smartphone, which is about 17. 5 hours of talk time on a single charge. Razr Maxx is priced at Rs 31,590 and will be available in select cities, at select retail stores. Motorola Razr Maxx will be available with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and will receive an over-the-air upgrade to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) soon after.

Smartphone sport the Razr design, with sculpted face and diamond-cut aluminum accents. Motorola has also ensured that the phones are rugged as their bodies are made of Kevlar fiber which is known for its strength. Besides, the touch screen has been built using scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Both the phones are water resistant too thanks to the splash-guard coating. Motorola Razr Maxx comes with longest battery life with a 3300 mAh battery and a claimed battery back up for 17.6 hours of talk-time on a single charge. The phone comes with a 4.3-inch Super Amoled Advanced display. And the best part is that despite a big battery, the phone is incredibly thin at just 8.99 mm.

Motorola Razr Maxx comes with 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p video capture and front-facing HD video camera. Motorola has also used government-grade encryption that protects your email, contacts and calendar. Under the Kevlar built chassis lays a dual-core 1.2 GHz mobile processor coupled with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB memory out of which only 11.5 GB is available to the user. Motorola will also include a 16 GB memory card in the package for the Razr Maxx.

A unique feature that has been recently included in the Motorola smartphones is the 'Smart Actions', which is a tool that lets you automate your phone's settings throughout the day. For example, you can set your phone to automatically turn off its ringer when you get home from work and set it to turn off email while you sleep, or dim the screen when battery life gets below 30 percent.
